Should I learn Thai script or speaking first?
For complete beginners, start with useful spoken Thai and listening while gradually becoming familiar with Thai script. Learning the script becomes more important as you progress because romanization cannot represent Thai pronunciation perfectly.
Do men and women use different polite words?
Yes. Men commonly end polite sentences with ครับ (khráp), while women commonly use ค่ะ/คะ (khâ/kha) depending on the sentence. The Starter Pack introduces both forms where useful.
Is the pronunciation guide exact?
No. Romanization is only a beginner aid. Thai sounds and tones do not map perfectly to English spelling, so listening to the Thai audio should be your main pronunciation reference.
